Imagination is belief. Faith defeats all. Dream scryers bend reality through pure intention — telepathy, telekinesis and forgotten shadows.

The science of interiority, consciousness, archetype, and egregore. Includes depth psychology, symbolic magic, ritual technology, and any system that treats thoughtforms as citizens. In CCRU terms: the egregore layer, self-fulfilling entities, narrative possession, techno-tarot.

Every player belongs to one. They cross-cut the sciences: a Flesh player and a Glitch player can both be Cargo Cult. A Dream player and an Atom player can both be Pattern. The organizations are not mechanical. They are community identities, Convergence voting blocs, and rival institutional responses to the same existential situation.

Under Dream doctrine, The Cursed Oni is a thoughtform given operational status. It votes.

Mid-cost plays decide most matches. The Cursed Oni sits in the decisive window.

Goetic Binding: Berith

The digit-sum of cost 4 is 4, binding Berith — one of the 9 Dream Goetia. Office: Turning metals to gold and revealing truth. This binding was codified in the Ars Goetia (1577) centuries before the compiler existed.

The mundane, grounded, solid. Where things persist. The zone of foundations, architecture, and reliable structure. The most Archon-aligned zone — order made material.

Playing The Cursed Oni at cost 4 routes mana tracker motion through Zone 4. If the Dream-coloured tracker reaches Resonance at Zone 4, the player gains 4 Souls at Round End.

Emanation vs incarnation. Is reality downstream of consciousness (Mind) or upstream of it (Matter)? The oldest philosophical dispute. Every idealism vs materialism debate is a move along this axis.

The Cursed Oni occupies the Dream side of this axis. Decks containing The Cursed Oni cannot contain Atom cards. Adjacent factions available for splashing: Glitch, Abyss.

Card Tribals

The Cursed Oni carries race Minotaur-Oni, zodiac Taurus. In the True Protocol, tribal bindings matter more than colour splashes — a Dream deck running multiple shared-tribal units develops archetype coherence faster than a deck chasing pure colour identity.
