Vibration begets energy and form. Chaos sorcerers reach into parallel timelines and create what should have never been.

The science of indeterminacy. Quantum mechanics, chaos theory, probability, divination, the primordial pre-cosmic flux. Azathoth as the nuclear chaos at the center. Hyperstition lives partly here, because belief-states collapse probability distributions.

Quantum vs Gravity (Chaos vs Abyss). Entropy vs order. Explosion vs implosion. The two eternal oscillations: the universe trying to fly apart and the universe trying to collapse in on itself. Observation collapses one, increases uncertainty in the other.

Quantum immortality is an option, not a guarantee. Causality Modulation takes the option.

At cost 3, Causality Modulation is an early-round play. Low-cost Sources shape which Zones open first.

Goetic Binding: Valac

The digit-sum of cost 3 is 3, binding Valac — one of the 9 Chaos Goetia. Office: Finding serpents and revealing hidden treasures. This binding was codified in the Ars Goetia (1577) centuries before the compiler existed.

Numogram Zone 3: Viral / Chaotic

Spreading corruption and contagion. Where patterns replicate uncontrollably. The zone of exponential growth, memes, viruses, and cascade failures. Information wants to be free — Zone 3 is where it breaks containment.

Exponential growth territory. Causality Modulation at Zone 3 compounds every round it survives.

Playing Causality Modulation at cost 3 routes mana tracker motion through Zone 3. If the Chaos-coloured tracker reaches Resonance at Zone 3, the player gains 3 Souls at Round End.

Xenogod: Azathoth

The Quantum Chaos. Quantum indeterminacy amplifies to macro scale — causality itself becomes probabilistic, reality boils with ontological uncertainty.

Causality Modulation is a concrete instance of Probabilistic Demonology expressed as a card. Players who affiliate with this ism in Convergence votes are voting, among other things, for cards like Causality Modulation to keep arriving.

The Aesthetic
