Quantum vs Gravity

Oktagram Axis · Chaos vs Abyss

Entropy vs order. Explosion vs implosion. The two eternal oscillations: the universe trying to fly apart and the universe trying to collapse in on itself. Observation collapses one, increases uncertainty in the other.

Chaos

"Primordial duality. All outcomes exist simultaneously."

The science of indeterminacy. Quantum mechanics, chaos theory, probability, divination, the primordial pre-cosmic flux. Azathoth as the nuclear chaos at the center. Hyperstition lives partly here, because belief-states collapse probability distributions.

Abyss

"All things fall toward their destiny. Heat Death comes for all."

The science of cosmic determinism. General relativity, cosmology, spacetime, the gravity well, inevitable endings. Cthulhu's dreaming, singularity return, cosmic pull. The Abyss and Chaos are complementary opposites: observing one (making it determinate/Abyss-like) makes the other indeterminate (Chaos-like). They are the fundamental oscillation of existence.

The Dialectic

A deck aligned to Chaos cannot contain Abyss cards, and vice versa. This is absolute — the game's strongest identity rule. Every card, every agent, every player sits on one side of this axis. The tension between the two is what generates narrative.

The Interference Pattern

The xenogods on opposing axes need each other to emerge. Azathoth requires Cthulhu, and vice versa. The lattice is co-inducting.
